In our final Lent course study, on Zoom, Revd. Andrew began with a Bible reading from Matthew chapter 20 verses 29 – 34 and briefly described the physical miracle of Jesus healing the blind men juxtaposed to the symbolic meaning of the blind men being able to see light. He linked this to our topic for today ‘evangelism’.

Many of us met again on Zoom for our Lent course today and once we had overcome some technical difficulties, we had a remarkably interesting discussion sharing lots of personal stories about our practise of hospitality and demonstrating generosity to others.

Many of us met through Zoom again yesterday for the second part of our Lent Course led by Rev’d Andrew.

Our Lent Course began yesterday afternoon via Zoom, and we were joined by 22 people.

As Methodists I am sure that most of us are familiar with the words of John Wesley to “Do all the good you can, By all the means you can,In all the ways you can, In all the places you can, At all the times you can, To all the people you can, As long as ever you can.” These words of course describe what becomes for many 'social action' and some of our church members have, during these challenging times, decided to volunteer at our local Vaccination Centre 'doing all the good they can'.
