Lent Course Week 4

Service:

We will help people in our communities and beyond.

We will care for creation and all God’s gifts.

We will challenge injustice.

This week our Lent course, on Zoom, began with a Bible reading from Luke chapter 10 read by Revd. Andrew.

The focus, from A Methodist Way of Life, this week was on ‘service’ and we contemplated the value of service, serving communities, seeking to serve others, and using our gifts.

In smaller groups we discussed and explored deeper questions like how we are personally seeking to serve others in our communities. What hinders our serving others? And how are we caring for God’s creation?

Considering our calling we developed points raised about injustice too with a focus on charitable giving on a local, national, and international level.
