Mid-week Holy communion at New Street

 On 1st Oct. 10.30 am, it will be led by Rev Andrew Mumford, & on the 5th Nov, it will be led by Revd. Jonathan Froggatt.

Midweek communion at New Street. KCM members will also be invited to join us. A midweek communion service will be held on the first Thursday of each month, being led by a Methodist minister with an invitation to both congregations.

Regular Activities

Stitchcraft: meet at the Princess Pavilion every Monday at 2pm. New members’ welcome.

Footsteps Café: Falmouth & Penryn Churches Together coffee morning, Footsteps is held every Thursday in the foyer of Emmanuel Baptist Church from 10-12 noon.  Hot and cold drinks and homemade cakes available.  All are welcome.

 Wednesday Welcome: meets on the first Wednesday in the month and will be held on the 7th Oct Greenbank Hotel, 4th November Carnon Downs, 2nd Dec Princess Pavilion. Meet at 2.00pm, book with Jeanette.

Other Notices:

Eco Group Litter Pick: Our next litter pick will take place on Thursday 1st October 2.30pm – 4.30pm, tabards will be provided by the church. This will take place around our new building, The Park Centre, and surrounding area We aim to spend 1 hour litter picking and then reconvene at TPC for tea and cake. All members of the church family are invited to join us.

Know Your Bible: 3rd October an event for women featuring worship, fellowship & teaching with Emily Twigg, Baptist Minister, beginning at 09.45- 2.30pm at Helston Central Methodist Church 42, Coinagehall Street Helston TR13 8EQ. Please bring a packed lunch, refreshments provided. Payment via BACS or cash on the door. Leaflets at church with more information.

Café Worship venue: Please note that Café Worship on October the 4th will be held at The Park Centre and will be led by the Eco Team.

Autumn Bible Study: You are all warmly invited to a four-week series of Bible studies, based on the Bible Month theme of Paul’s Letter to the Philippians. We will meet at The Park Centre at 2.30 on Wednesday 14th ,21st ,28th of October, and on the  4th of November, we will meet at 10.30am to avoid Wednesday Welcome. Everyone Welcome. Revd. Jonathan.

Blooming Church:  is the exciting production that is due to come on a mini tour of the District in less than two weeks’ time as part of a mini-District tour! If you are near one of the venues, why not attend. See the flyer for more information.

Circuit Zoom Prayer Meeting:   You are invited to join on the first and third Tuesday of each month - 6.15 for 6.30pm. Revd. Jonathan will email the joining link to 'regulars' but if you would like to join please email Jonathan for the link.

Quiet Day at The Park Centre:  24th October 2026 beginning at10.30 for tea and coffee. Please see the attached poster and program of events for the day. Many thanks Jo Walker.

Fairtrade stall: Our regular stall will be available every second Sunday following our morning service, Nona.

Foodbank: There is still great need locally for your donations. All items that you donate will be greatly received.

Antron Manor Care Home, Mabe: Rev Andrew and I have led services at Antron Manor for a number of years. We have now been given responsibility for all the monthly services.  The services take place on the third Tuesday,   It would be encouraging if one or two people from FMC could be there to join the service. Thank you, Jonathan.

 

Friday Morning Friends at Fairwinds: Friday 30th October from 10am. All are welcome. Hot drinks and homemade cakes.

 

Church Sunday Lunch: 11th October at The Falmouth Hotel. Please see Jeanette for more details.

Cake Stall: On the third Sunday of each month there will be a cake stall to raise funds for the church. Homemade cakes only £1.50 a slice.

PRAYER LIFEBOAT: If you would like a prayer for a friend or relation who is very poorly at home, or in hospital, ring me, if there is no reply, please leave a message. I will then pass this request on to all the others on the Lifeboat list. Thank you. Moira McCullough

In our prayers

we continue to hold the following before God: we pray for Bruce and Shirley Keer, Gwen Dunstan, John Cottrell, Gill Wilkinson, Karina Bakken, Sandy Whyte and the residents and staff of care homes, especially Langholme.

We continue to pray for all those that are no longer able to attend church.

 

Eco News

News from WWF on  World Rhino Day, there's a reason to feel hopeful.

In Tanzania, the latest wildlife census reported the country is home to 285 black rhinos in 2025, more than double the number in 2014. And in Kenya, black rhino numbers have grown to 1,147, up from fewer than 400 in the 1980s. These are encouraging signs of what conservation can achieve when wildlife, habitats and local communities are supported over the long term.
