 ECO Awareness

Green Your Home

Combat Climate Change & reduce heating costs by identifying & sealing drafts around your home. Find the gaps that let the cold air in and the warm air out (think keyholes, letterboxes, cracks around the edges or bottoms of windows and doors, loft hatches, floorboards etc.) and fix these gaps using the correct materials. Consider watching online tutorials if you are unsure how to make these repairs.  Additionally, place foil or radiator panels to reflect heat into your room. Pray for those who might be experiencing cold this winter.

Eco Group Litter Pick

You may already be aware that our FMC Eco Group have just completed their second litter-pick this time in Penryn. They collected four refuse sacks of rubbish in one hour! This was taken to be either recycled or disposed of safely.

As many of us go out and about on beautiful Autumn days why not take a reusable bag and gloves with you and pick up any rubbish that you see taking it to either the council rubbish bins or recycling bins? You would be doing your bit to help protect the environment that we all love and care for #caringforcreation.

In our prayers, we continue to hold the following before God:

from Falmouth: - we pray for Rosemary who has had a fall, Glenys & Kerina Bakken, Sue’s sister Jean, Anne & Barry Libby & Family, Pat Tremaine, Val Thorne, Gwen Mason, Barbara Toyne, Pauline & Peter Cocks, Dorothy Penman, Gwen Dunstan, Gill Wilkinson, and the residents and staff of care homes, especially Langholme.

Pastoral Contact:    for November: Pauline

Thinking of you and missing you at church: Mark Saunders, Judith Yeo.

The next edition of the notices will be available from Sunday 1st December 2024. Please send any items for inclusion to Sarah  before  Wednesday 27th November 2024. These notices will be updated once a month, so please hold onto them, do not delete them, until you get a revised version. That will save us time and money in unnecessary reprinting and will do another small bit for the environment, they are also published on our church website. If you have any additional notices for the month of November, then please email me and the Duty Steward will announce them on the relevant Sunday. Thank you.
