Regeneration Team: At a meeting of the Regeneration team this week we discussed the benefits of being ‘building free’ and how many people report that they enjoy worshipping at the KCM church hall and the benefits of our ecumenical relationship with our friends at KCM. We further discussed the possibilities that are open to us and how in a changing world we need to prayerfully consider what God may be calling us to be and what premises we need to live out this calling. The team continue to locate and research possible premises including commercial sites that could function in conjunction with our worship at the KCM hall and be a space for use as a café, group meeting place etc We also considered our need to fund raise so keep an eye on the notices for upcoming events! If you would like any further information then please speak to one of the team.
In our prayers, we continue to hold the following before God: from Falmouth: - we pray for the family & friends of the late Mary Nott, Dorothy Penman, Gwen Dunstan, Gill Wilkinson, Babs Minns, Paul brother of Ian, and the residents and staff of care homes, especially Langholme and the folk at Abbeyfield including Sheila Finch.
Pastoral Contact: for September is Ginny & for October Tracy
Eco- Tip: - Many of us have heard about honeybees and bumblebees, but did you know that the UK is home to 270 different species of bees? Each one plays a special role in keeping our meadows, woodlands, heathlands and hedgerows alive. To protect these and other insects, we need to protect and restore the varied habitats they rely on. Most bees are most active from March to September, but some emerge from hibernation early in mild winters, while buff-tailed bumblebee queens will occasionally start nesting in autumn, rather than hibernating, establishing a 'winter colony'. Aim to have at least two nectar- or pollen-rich plants in flower during winter. Plants like winter honeysuckle and winter clematis are perfect for the job.
