Today members from across our circuit met together at Degibna Prayer Chapel for a day of positive thinking, worship and prayer, developing ideas for reaching out into our communities with the love of Jesus.

In small groups we discussed the many challenges facing the modern church but also came up with lots of ideas for outreach and encouraged each other to further develop ideas and think about practical application. We discussed the sharing of resources and the things that we are currently doing well that could be copied by others in the circuit. 

Ideas ranged from organizing a litter pick in villages or towns to creating a wildflower area on a neglected patch of ground, to using prayer benches and making worship something that could happen on a bus. It was definitely a day where all were agreed that  Christian outreach comes in many different forms and working alongside those from our communities is one of them. More days are planned like this in the future so why not bring your ideas to the next one?
