Café Worship with Victoria Hill from the Charity All We Can

Rooted in the Christian faith, All We Can is an international development and relief organisation, working to see every person’s potential fulfilled.
All We Can works through partnership alongside global neighbours most impacted by disasters, poverty and injustice to enable flourishing and resilient communities.

During our Café Worship service Victoria led us through a story about a woman called Cynthia and told us how All We Can engaged with her to help her to a more stable future. We watched a short film on the work of the charity and took part in an activity to build a house out of paper; only one person managed to achieve this!

Victoria shared with us the charity’s adopted phrase, ‘charity begins at home’ and asked us to discuss what ‘home’ means to us. She explored through this shared activity the importance of home and the security, warmth, and comfort that it brings and why this is a basic human need.

‘Victoria is based in the South- West and works with supporters, helping them to connect to their own sense of compassion and justice whilst embedding that into an understanding of our partnership approach and centring the communities we serve. She is passionate about sharing our vision and partner’s stories in lots of different ways, allowing people to find how it relates to their personal story and helping us each to learn from one another and reach our own potential too. Victoria is particularly keen to engage young audiences with global justice and development.

At FMC we were so grateful for Victoria and her young son coming to share the vision of this wonderful charity with us. If you would like more information or to make a donation then please go to the website for All We Can.
