Cafe Worship. Back Soon?

Cafe Worship. Back Soon?

Although things look quite different for us all right now and Cafe Worship is currently not taking place in our church building, we are aiming to bring a virtual service soon.

Worship is an area of our fellowship where we are being constantly challenged to develop new and exciting ways of leading, praising and sharing. Challenge and change are part of this service. We are challenged in our Witness Box where people share their experiences of being a Christian and maybe changed by what we encounter during the service.

Worship for us is an ever-evolving process, keeping all core elements of our faith but finding new expressions is important for us all and for the future of the church. Therefore, the Cafe Worship Team carefully consider the music, activities, and drama that make-up each part of these services. Among the recent songs, played by our Cafe Worship band, are Green Day, Stormzy and Chad Kroeger to name but a few. Taking what is good in popular culture and exploring deeper meaning.

We know at FMC that our Regeneration Project is not about a building but about people and our Cafe Worship is relaxed, friendly, and open to all. Held in the Wesley Hall (second floor of the church) those less familiar with 'church' feel more at home. Usually, we serve hot drinks and food throughout the service, free of charge, and our service is open to anyone of any age! Keep an eye on our church website for service updates and links to services.
