Jean Whetham

Jean has been in the area since 29th December 1989 - however she lives in Mawnan Smith! She started attending Falmouth Methodist Church straight away and has been here ever since. Jean was born in Moston, Manchester, three miles out from the city centre. She lived there with her parents until the family moved to Cornwall. As well as the church, Jean is involved in Girl Guiding and she plays the French Horn in an orchestra and concert band.

Jean is Church Treasurer, a Steward, organises the Door Stewards’ rota and is a local preacher in the circuit.

As Treasurer Jean is responsible for banking all the money except the weekly offering, paying all bills, keeping records of all income and expenditure, informing the leadership team, resources committee and church council of how things are going and setting the budget,
