Gift Service

Gift Service

Café Worship/ Annual Gift Service

In our Café worship this morning we included a ‘gifting’ element in which members of the congregation could donate toys, books, vouchers, and cinema tickets to The Dracaena Centre in Falmouth. Dawn from the centre attended the service and thanked the church family for their kind donations which she said will be handed out to families known to the centre who are very much in need this Christmas. The service, led by Jo, focussed on the idea of ‘gifts that we have been given by God’ and ‘how we can use our gifts to help others.’ Each group wrote on a section of paper chain, our personal gifts from God and how we might use them to help others. This was then turned into a lengthy chain and put up above the cafe area for all to read after the service.

Jo expressed in prayer how grateful we are for all of God’s gifts to us, the most precious of these being His son Jesus Christ.

During the singing of hymns everyone was encouraged to use the mini-musical instruments provided and this produced some interesting contributions and fun!
